Mr Phil Reddington R.D.T. M.D.T.A.
Phil is the Head Ceramist, Technical Director and Managing Director of Beever Dental Technology. During Phils 20 years experience as a technician he has attended many courses by Master Ceramists such as Oliver Brix, Lee Culp, Dominique Oliver and Richard O’Brien as well as cosmetic, aesthetic and clinical lectures by highly respected speakers such as Pascal Magne, Galip Gürel, Chris Orr, Elaine Halley, Ken Harris, Luke Barnett and Paul Tipton. Phil has also studied various aspects of implant treatment with both surgeons and technicians alike including Ashok Sehti, Peter Sochor, Jon Wibberly, Zaki Khanaan, Ian Taylor, Ashley Byrne and Naresh Sharma. Due to this Phil has amassed a great wealth of knowledge in many areas of dentistry. Phil is always available to discuss cases and offer advice on a wide range of procedures for both technical and clinical situations. Phil is also now lecturing to both Technicians and Clinicians along side Dr Craig Parker and has had a number of articles published on subjects such as dental photography and complex implant cases. Phil is a Full member of the BACD and a straumann Platinum approved Technician.
Phil is also an active member of both the ADI (The Association of Dental Implantology)and the ITI (International team For Implantology).
Mr. Paul Butterwick R.D.T.
Paul Is the General Laboratory Manager and is responsible for the smooth running of the lab. He inspects the prescriptions, books the items in and controls the workflow of each separate restoration throughout the different departments of the lab, identifying any work, which requires special attention. His involvement at these early stages means that any issues such as price queries changes to prescription or special delivery needs can be immediately addressed. As well as this Paul overseas all model production and personally sets up all the Denar articulators for the other technicians to work on. An integral part of our Lava Design team Paul works closely with the other CAD/CAM team members to ensure that potential problems are not missed. Like all of our technicians Paul easily exceeds the GDC requirements for CPD.
Paul is now in his 7th year at the lab.
Miss Beth Knights R.D.T. & Mrs. Amie Mordue R.D.T.
Beth & Amie Complete our ceramic team. Beth has over 9 years experience in this discipline, while Amie has 11. Both have great ability and a natural feel for anatomy and shade enabling them to create beautiful aesthetic and functional restorations. They demonstrate their great artistic ability in many ceramic systems including traditional porcelain bonded (feldspatic) ceramics as well as newer systems such as e-max, (Lithium Disilicate) Procera (Alumina) and Lava (Zirconium). Both Ceramists can turn their hand to composite restorations with ease and whether it’s a simple single unit or a more complex combination case the constant stream of glowing surgeon comment cards are a testament to their eye for detail and technical skills. Amie also successfully applied herself as a Gold Technician at the beginning of her career, running the entire department for four years before beginning her training as a ceramist. Amie is our longest serving technician with a total of 14 years Service to date.
Mr. Joshua Warrington Dental Student
Josh is the latest addition to the team who has already proved his dedication to the industry through his eagerness to learn. He spends much of his time asking questions about the various different cases that come through the door and although it is not yet required of him he often attends dental education events with the rest of the team. Josh is already capable of producing neat tidy and accurate models using many different casting techniques including Zieser, Pindex and different tray systems. Currently one year into his degree course at Leedss dental institute Josh attends 1 day per week whilst receiving the rest of his training here at the lab. As well as his studies and day job josh is also a professional boxer, which again demonstrates great dedication in our newest recruit.
